Spring’s Hot Things

Find Your Fashion With Some Uncommon On-Course Couture

I went to the local sporting goods store to get a golf shirt last summer. In between the rows and rows of running attire and workout wear (they still make tank tops, it seems), I found the limited offerings of what passed for golf gear.

While the style would’ve made Davis Love III look like Leonardo DiCaprio by comparison, I also found the fit to come in two types: beyond baggy or Under Amour-level tight. And you can’t go to the club looking like a kielbasa.

So this spring you, too, have a choice. You can certainly go out to any big-box retailer and find yourself some golf clothes, but for true golf fashion you need look no further than the next few pages.

DEVEREUX-Aristotle_ApricotDevereux is known for bringing the runway to the fairway, and its 2015 spring collection is no different.

The Christina O collection (named after Aristotle Onassis’ yacht) pays homage to the ultra-opulent. The color palate of Pebble, Apricot, Sage and Navy is accented by lean, crisp and classic designs. The line also features Devereux’s lightweight pima cotton/ high-grade polyester jersey blend. The Spring ‘15 line includes nautical inspired chest prints, hidden but- ton down collars and Devereux’s iconic chest pocket designs.

TOMMY HILFIGER

Tommy Hilfiger headed to the “Heartland” of America for inspiration for its spring 2015 line.

TM111_3133Time-honored classics are reinvented with a modern palette of bold blues and greens, punctuated by pops of black and white. The men’s collection takes Tommy’s signature stripes and blends it with pastel palates for classic but contemporary polos. The women’s lineup of polos and sleeveless polos make a bit bolder statement on the green. Stripes are the predominant pattern, juxtaposed against color blocking, ombré gradients and subtle plaids. The aesthetic exudes a relaxed, summertime feel with an adventurous spirit. The golf collection incorporates performance fabrics throughout — most notably TH Tech, a 100% polyester fabric used as the foundation for the designs.

Antigua’s Spring 2015 men’s collection is loaded with technology, including “Desert Dry” moisture-wicking fabric, and “Desert Dry Xtra-Lite,” ultralight fabric. The 2015 collection adds prints to the traditional mix, from thin symmetrically balanced “pin-striping” on a style like Linear (pictured.

Antigua’s Performance 72 classics also are offered in new colors this year, with the Major, Rush and Titan polos getting bolder looks and classic-contemporary cool.
