Skokie range combines instruction and convenience in one incredible facility

There are driving ranges, and then there are driving ranges.

Then there’s the Skokie Sports Park. Skokie Sports Park is a 12-time winner of Golf Range Magazine’s Top 100 (now Top 50) stand-alone ranges and golf instructional facilities in America. The two-tiered golf range features one of America’s few automatic tee-up systems, which means that golfers no longer have to repetitively bend over and reach into a bucket. Instead, golfers insert a pre-loaded debit card and swing away at balls that rise from under the tee box after every hit. The range is also heated on winter weekends, allowing golfers to keep their game sharp from December through March.

The Skokie Sports Park literally takes the driving range to the next level.

The Skokie Sports Park is also the home of two PGA golf pros Chris Pytell and Scott Barla both offer lessons to individuals and groups of all ages, allowing advanced players to hone their swing and beginners to learn the fundamentals. Both Chris and Scott are seasoned veterans who remain passionate about teaching kids and adults. Skokie Sports Park also features numerous programs, including specialty clinics that focus on putting, driving, chipping and more. The park also offers “Sticks for Kids,” a program geared toward beginning junior players, as well as adult fundamental classes and parent-junior golf, for parents who want to learn how to teach their children at home. Lessons for groups — small and large — are also easily accommodated at Skokie Sports Park.

Skokie Sports Park is not only a state- of-the-art golf facility, but also conveniently located to the north and northwest suburbs, as well as to the north side of Chicago by car or via the CTA.
