We’re not even to June yet, but it’s already been a stellar season for some Chicago-based club manufacturers on the PGA Tour.

A brief look at the FedEx Cup standings shows three of the top five players with Midwest ties — No. 2 Brandt Snedeker, No. 3 Kevin Streelman, and No. 5 Matt Kuchar.

Snedeker, playing with a Tour Edge Exotics CB4 fairway wood, has already notched six top 10s for the year, including a second place at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, and a victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Streelman, the Wheaton, Ill.-native, has taking the tour by storm this season, with five top 10s, including a tie for second at the Players Championship, a third at the RBC Heritage, and his first career victory at the Tampa Bay Championship. He’s done it all with clubs straight from the Chicago area, his Wilson FG V2 Tour irons, and his Tour Edge Exotics CB4 3-wood.

“Kevin is a world-class player and person, and nothing more exciting than him going out and having a breakout season,” said Wilson Golf General Manager Tim Clarke. “When you look at his iron play and greens and regulation, what you have is a world-class player climbing the rankings.”

Tour Edge and Wilson aren’t the only Midwest manufacturers having great years on the PGA Tour. Bettinardi is continuing its success, helping Matt Kuchar keep a hot hand on the greens. Kuchar, who recently signed with Bettinardi to create his own signature line, has rolled his very own Matt Kuchar Proto to four top 10s, including a tie for eighth at The Masters, and a victory in the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship.
